Can you believe that its already October? This year just seems to be flying by, although I cant really complain. 2019 has not been a year that I have enjoyed, the first 6 months were less than ideal. The 2nd half of the year (so far) has been much better, my wife and I spend a couple weeks in Dubai for a much needed get away. I still need to get through the photos from that trip, but I have finished the videos from the trip. Part 1 is live already, and the remaining 3 parts will be released daily from tonight.

The next big adventure is my upcoming trip to Japan with my brother, later this week. We will be there for 10 days and will be visiting Tokyo, Kyoto & Hiroshima. I have wanted to go back to Japan for a while now, and I am looking forward to watching my brother experience it all for the first time. I intend to use this trip as a creative kick-starter for some video and photo work, getting out with my camera is always good for my head so I am looking forward to coming home with many, many, many photos and video to be edited.

Other than that, there has been a couple photo jobs this year, with a few other jobs on the horizon as well. I would like to try and look for some more photo and/or video work as it is the kind of work that pushes me out of my comfort zone and forces me to try new things.

So that’s it for now, more of a short update, keep an eye on my Instagram for updated images, videos and stories.

Japan - Public Transport 日本の公共交通機関

Greetings everyone, well here is the first in a series of Japanese post's that I have lined up. You may have noticed an audio file just above this blog text, by playing the audio you can get a greater ‘sensory experience’ with this blog post; this concept is something that I’ve been playing around with for some time. Hopefully it will do what I am hoping it will, let me know in the comments below what you think.

Public transport in Japan is terrifyingly daunting to wrap your head around if you are a first time traveller looking at the multi-coloured spaghetti maps that make up Tokyo’s train system, but it is also such an amazing thing to try work out and experience. The efficiency of the system is fantastic; you never have worry about having to wait long for a train to where ever you are going.

If you enjoy people watching, like I do, then you will have a great time just standing on the platforms watching everyone go about their lives in the hustle and bustle of life in Tokyo.
